Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Wind Resource Manager to join our wind and solar team in our Denver, CO office.This position will specifically support the growth, development, and technical management of a team of environmental analysis specialists. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • General oversight of the suite of products and services that the Analytics team offers
  • Assist with growth and professional development of the team
  • Management of workload, staffing and project deliverables
  • Providing professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects
  • Preparation of technical reports and studies used in permit applications
  • Complete technical analysis in the areas of wind resource, solar resource, 3D software and/or ArcGIS
  • Day-to-day support to Project Managers
  • Coordination with both internal and external stakeholders

Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Ten or more years of experience in technical modeling in the renewable energy industry
  • Ability to apply standard engineering principles and practices
  • Detailed documentation focus
  • Sound technical writing skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a must
  • Working knowledge of windPRO, CandaA, PVSyst
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capability to manage and meet deadlines
