Duties and Responsibilities

Apply civil engineering skills and project management experience to assist in the management of projects from inception through completion in the land development group. Provide direction and manage work quality of a team of engineering designers, interns, and technicians. Assist in preparing and managing proposals, contracts, invoicing, work in process, and account receivables. Represent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agencies. Prepare, maintain, and coordinate project schedules of multiple concurrent projects with clients and design team. Communicate directly with clients, public governing agencies, and subcontractors. Assist project manager in developing and tracking project milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery. Recruit, manage, develop, lead, inspire, and coach design team. Prepare plan documents and supporting design calculations. Produce high-quality work and implement and maintain QA/QC procedures. Assist in business development. Resolve design conflicts and field construction issues. Assist in overseeing the technical and financial aspects of various projects. Coordinate with other disciplines and support services. Make decisions independently regarding various issues and methods.

Required Experience (Text Only)

- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Two (2) years of vertical and horizontal utility design experience (water, sewer, storm drain).
- Two (2) years of experience in site grading, which may have been gained as part of or in addition to the vertical and horizontal utility design experience.
- Additional experience must include:
- Site planning
- Finished lot service (plot plans, lot fits, and driveway slope analyses)
- Preparing civil improvement plan documents and entitlement packages
- Preparing improvement bond and inspection fee estimates
- Preparing ASA contracts
- Project budgets and schedules
- Local design criteria (RTC, CCAUSD, Title 19, Title 30, UDACS, DCSWCS)
- Working within land development
- QA/QC of construction drawings
- Accounts receivable and invoicing
- Computer software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Bluebeam Revu)
- Nevada Professional Engineering license.
- Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
