Civil Engineering Intern - Appleton, WI

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking Civil Engineering Interns to join our transportation and airport service teams in Appleton, WI. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. This is an entry level position that will be involved in various assignments that continue to develop abilities in areas of specialty.

Work as a member of a project team under the direction of a Project Engineer/Manager primarily in support of various projects. Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Research and evaluation of data
• Conduct field reviews and other assessments
• Assist with the creation and submission of technical reports, exhibits, and presentations
• Take personal responsibility for quality of tasks performed
• Use Autodesk Civil3D to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts and estimates
• Performs routine analysis to check accuracy of data and work products
• Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service
• Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism

• Outgoing, friendly, approachable
• Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
• Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related coursework
• Basic knowledge of software required for position
• Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations

• ideal candditaes will be in their sophomore, junior, or senior year working towards completion of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
