 CAD Technician - Frisco, TX

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a CAD Technician to join our team in our Frisco, TX office. Under the direct supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer (unless already licensed), performs design and comprehensive project management for numerous engineering projects of low to medium complexity while effectively leading and promoting a limited number of assigned technical personnel.  Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings
  • Apply Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings
  • Collaborate in a team environment
  • Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents
  • Work with extreme precision and accuracy in creating design drawings
  • Plot and check drawings
  • Willing to take on other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Technical degree or certification in AutoCAD
  • Experience and knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD
  • Design skills and knowledge
  • Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated and a Team player
  • Working Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam
  • Willingness to learn and grow is a must

Required Experience

  • Associate Degree
  • Experience AutoCAD Civil 3D or GIS mapping services
  • Design Experience
  • Experience with applications (InfraWorks, SITEOPS, BIM, Revit, AutoTurn, AutoDesk 360, etc..)
  • 1-5 Years of Industry Experience
