BILLING SPECIALIST

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for invoicing, lien waivers, and other accounting duties as assigned. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly invoice creation, and distribute invoices to project managers for updates and approvals.
  • Complete, obtain signatures, and re-distribute lien waivers back to project managers and clients.
  • Respond daily to emails and questions received in our accounts receivable inbox.
  • Update client records in Deltek Vision to ensure we have the appropriate accounting contact along with invoicing instructions.
  • Assist with monthly monitoring and follow up on outstanding A/R balances.
  • Support project managers and clients with billing questions and issues.
  • Help with month end reporting and statements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment; meeting deadlines is crucial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective team member who displays initiative and acts with integrity.
  • Strong Microsoft Office applications knowledge, specifically Microsoft Excel.
