Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is hiring a Survey Manager in our Brainerd office. The Local Survey Service Leader is responsible for leading the survey service in their respective location. This individual is the local technical leader for that service, which provides the experience and expertise needed to serve clients, support the survey service leadership, and manage and mentor local survey staff in the Power Division.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement, provide, and coordinate service-specific education and staff development.
• Work with the Regional Survey Office Manager to create, monitor and meet a professional development budget for the local survey team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to local survey staff.
• Manages multi-discipline projects.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain procedures and quality standards for survey
• Monitor and control standards for work products, such as plan sets, reports, specifications, and data files related to survey.
• Ensure that survey work products in the office have a consistent appearance and are delivered efficiently.
• Responsible for service-based workload coordination with Regional Survey Office Manager.
• Identify technical resource needs as it relates to survey in the local market and work with the Regional Survey Office Manager to engage the hiring process.
• Work with Regional Survey Office Manager, on staffing, utilization, and workload related to survey.
• Support market-based business development by providing technical expertise.
• Implement and execute an ongoing mentorship plan for all members of the local survey group.
• Build, maintain and grow a strong culture for the service group that aligns with Westwood’s corporate values.
• Ensures division and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the local survey services.
• Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism

Required Experience

• Knowledge of consulting business and a licensed professional in the appropriate service, as applicable.
• Four-year degree preferred and 10-plus years of experience in a consulting business.
• Must have multi-discipline experience and a strong understanding of markets and services.
• Must have a strong background in project management.
• Effective verbal communication is necessary, and independent judgment is essential.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
