Project Manager - District Services - Frisco, TX

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking to fill an open Project Manager position for the District Services Team in the Frisco, Texas office. The team is looking for a detail and task-oriented self-starter, who is organized and comfortable working in both a team environment and in a public setting. This individual needs to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment under multiple deadlines, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, organizing tasks by priority with long lead times, and able to communicate professionally to a wide range of clients.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Requesting quotes from contractors for a variety of construction projects ranging from small to large scale
  • Completing thorough quantity take-offs in Bluebeam for construction bid tabulations;
  • Preparing and sending shortform contracts from Excel templates to contractors with timely follow-ups;
  • Preparing recommendation of award and notice to proceed letters;
  • Processing contractor’s pay applications and change orders;
  • Keeping files organized in existing filing structures;
  • Data entry in Excel;
  • Preparation of engineering reports for monthly Board meetings;
  • Attending board meetings;
  • Performing pre-bid and pre-construction meetings online and/or in person;
  • Traveling to job site projects throughout the greater DFW area;
  • Walking construction phases with District inspectors;
  • Collaborating with construction inspectors (both Westwood’s and other City Inspectors);
  • Preparing engineering reports for entitlement process;
  • Preparing feasibility studies for entitlement process;
  • Preparing project cost estimates from feasibility study;

The compensation for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualification. Additionally, this is bonus-eligible position, offering further potential for financial recognition based on performance and company success. 

Required Skills

  • Excel experience (moderate to expert level)
  • Microsoft Word experience
  • Bluebeam experience (moderate preferred, but not required)
  • AutoCAD (preferred, but not required)
  • Well-spoken and comfortable presenting and addressing clients in a public setting (board of directors/supervisors), district consultants (attorneys, financial advisors, bookkeepers, auditors), public officials, residents, HOAs, etc.
  • Knowledge in construction practices
  • Knowledge in engineering design (EIT, PE preferred, but not required)

Required Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Management's discretion).

Preferred Experience

  • 3-5 years of Engineering experience preferred
