Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team in our Las Vegas, Nevada office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

 

As an Engineering Technician you would be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures, with a strong attention to detail, to assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects. The Engineering Technician will modify and create design plans and drawings using computer aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings
• Apply Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings
• Collaborate in a team environment
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents
• Work with extreme precision and accuracy in creating design drawings
• Plot and check drawings
• Willing to take on other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities
• Attention to detail, self-motivated and a Team player
• Working Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam
• Willingness to learn and grow is a must

Preferred Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Design skills and knowledge
• Experience with applications (InfraWorks, SITEOPS, BIM, Revit, AutoTurn, AutoDesk 360, etc..)
• 1-5 Years of Industry Experience
