Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Water Resources team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. Become a member of our water resources service team working as part of a multidisciplinary design team. As part of our team you will have an opportunity to shape local and regional infrastructure within the community you live by providing accessible, multimodal designs.

 

Westwood’s ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of diverse hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater modeling and drainage facility design experience supporting private and public sector projects. Candidates must have a willingness to perform a variety of civil engineering tasks supporting various project types and project managers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work as a key member of a drainage design team under the direction of a Project Engineer/Project Manager. Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Research and evaluation of data
  • Conduct field reviews and other assessments
  • Apply engineering principles to assist in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of stormwater
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations
  • Assist with the creation and submission of technical reports, presentations and exhibits
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed construction drawings
  • Prepare construction cost estimates/quantity takeoffs
  • Coordinate with internal team members, government entities, utility service providers and subconsultants
  • Manage task assignments for budget and schedule adherence
  • Perform reviews of all work product for accuracy
  • Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the service.
  • Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism

  • Prior exposure to [or] Proficient in AutoDesk Civil3D and Microsoft Office applications

Required Experience

  • 1-3+ years of relevant stormwater engineering experience
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • This position requires travel to project sites and other Westwood offices throughout the United States
