Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Market Director in our Renewables Division. The Market Director Manager will join a highly experienced and dynamic team to lead our Renewables Markets (Wind, Solar, Storage, EV) into an exciting sustainable energy future. As the Market Director, Renewables, you will be responsible for leading a sub-market or portfolio of clients within the Renewables Division. Your main focus will be on market strategy, growth, performance, client relationships, and client growth. You will work closely with senior project managers, project managers, and other market staff to ensure the overall success of the sub-market and its clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include 

Market Leadership: 

  • Monitoring the financial health of the market and taking corrective action. 
  • Staying updated on market trends and adapting strategies accordingly. 
  • Collaborating with other departments to plan for and adapt to changing market conditions. 
  • Fostering growth and satisfaction among market staff. 
  • Contributing to the development of market strategic plans. 

 

Team Leadership:  

  • Demonstrating effective leadership and team management skills. 
  • Facilitating communication and coordination between teams to improve quality and reduce risk. 
  • Demonstrating financial responsibility and understanding of project financial metrics. 
  • Utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Embracing adaptability, resiliency, and innovation. 
  • Representing the organization in communications related to assigned clients and industry. 

 

Client Management: 

  • Developing and implementing client strategies to drive revenue and sales targets. 
  • Managing client relationships and leading contract negotiations. 
  • Regularly meeting with program project managers to review project health and risks. 
  • Working with project managers to identify and resolve issues related to clients or sub-markets. 
  • Performing Go/No-Go review on new leads to ensure strategic alignment. 
  • Ensuring clear communication and collaboration between service and market teams on program projects. 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or project-related field. 
  • 10+ years of project management experience in the renewable energy sector. 
  • 5+ years of business leadership experience. 
  • Professional licensure in a technical field or PMP certification (or ability to obtain). 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead issue resolution. 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
  • Strong understanding of project and market financial metrics. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and drive innovation. 
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in persuasion and negotiation. 
  • Knowledge of forecasting, finance, human resources, and legal aspects of business leadership. 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in the renewable energy industry. 
  • Experience with program management for a group of clients or submarket sector. 
  • Experience in contract negotiations and proposal development. 
  • Strong network and relationships within the renewable energy industry. 

Compensation Range Minimum

USD $120,000.00/Yr.

Compensation Range Maximum

USD $180,000.00/Yr.
