Electrical Lead Engineer, EV Charging

Westwood Professional Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Engineer to join our EV Charging team at Westwood. As the Electrical Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering aspects of EV Charging Facilities and Energy Storage Projects. You will lead a team of engineers, review utility service/interconnection requirements, coordinate with various project disciplines, and ensure the successful design and implementation of projects. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical engineering aspects of EV Charging Facilities and Energy Storage Projects.
  • Oversee the review of utility service/interconnection requirements for various utilities and manage the technical portions of service/interconnect applications for clients.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other project disciplines including civil engineers, geotechnical/structural engineers, and surveyors.
  • Conduct electrical engineering design and develop construction documents for projects.
  • Perform and supervise electrical calculations and studies such as short circuit, load flow calculations, and voltage drop.
  • Stay updated on the latest equipment and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to electrical engineering teams in other offices for project collaboration and workload sharing.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong knowledge of utility service requirements and interconnection processes.
  • Proficiency in electrical calculations and studies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering design for EV Charging projects.

Compensation Range Minimum

USD $95,000.00/Yr.

Compensation Range Maximum

USD $135,000.00/Yr.
